Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a party?

We are available for contact via text, phone call or email. Give us the details of your party and we'll let your know if your desired time is available. When we agree on a time, we will send a confirmation email with payment instructions.

Full payment must be received to guarantee your reservation.

At this time, we do not support self-reserving via our website.

How much does it cost to rent the game truck?

Pricing starts at $350, with reservations from 2 to 3 hours, but we can add more time! Additional hours are available at $75 per hour when you schedule. Additional hours after booking are $100 per hour if available.

We cannot promise there will be time available to extend your party, and we do not block off time (reserve unpaid time) outside your paid reservation.

How much does it cost to rent the gameboxes?

Gameboxes start at $200 for 2 consoles and a Nintendo Switch. 4 consoles and a Switch is $300 and 6 consoles and 2 Switches is $400.

What do I get with the gameboxes?

You'll get a console and screen contained in each case and all the necessary power cords to arrange anywhere in your home,  but you'll have to connect to your home wifi. At this time we only offer an indoor setup, and would prefer the at-home setup only be contained within the home for the safety of our electronics.

Please be advised the exact games available with the Gameboxes are DIFFERENT than with the Game Truck! Our full library is not available with the rentals, but we are working to make the experience as valuable as possible. Every party can customize the library, but in most circumstances the complete package will be limited to 20 physical games and about 10 digital games.

What if I live in an apartment and don't have space for a game truck?

We can get pretty creative with parking, but safety and following parking code is important. If you can't legally reserve at least 4 side-by-side parking spaces or 2 parallel parking spaces, the Gameboxes are an in-home alternative to the Game Truck. Requiring just a bit of table or counter space, they are consoles neatly packed in a case that just need power and internet! If you still think inside or outside your home couldn't support the demands of a video game party with or without the Game Truck, the next best place to hold a video game party is a local park. You are responsible for any applicable fees, permits or reservations, so check out the following websites to see almost all the parks in the whole county. If the desired park isn't listed on its respective website, it may not be managed by the city or county, and will likely only be available on a first come first served basis.

How can I cancel an event?

Events can be cancelled at any time up to 7 days before your reservation for a full refund. There is no refund for a cancellation within 7 days of your reservation. If you cancel within 7 days of the reservation, we require that you reschedule to retain the full payment to be used for your future reservation, maximum one reschedule, and will be subject to availability. A cancellation without rescheduling will require full payment for any future reservation.

What if I haven't paid within 48 hours of my confirmation email?
Balances paid on time is highly recommended to guarantee your reserved time and to continue smooth operations with our scheduling. If your full balance is not paid within 48 hours of booking, your reserved time could become unavailable.

We try our best to communicate with any conflicting pending reservations, but doing so with multiple parties is unreliable and we cannot guarantee any unpaid bookings will be available more than 48 hours after booking.

How can I add time to the end of my event?

Events can extend to adjacent time slots only if available. Contact us for availability to add 1 hour increments. If available, you may extend your event at any time at the normal rate of $75 for every additional hour beyond the booked rate. However some advanced notice is recommended. If extending your event after your initial booking, the rate for extra hours is $100. If extending your event is not available, we do not support rain checks or returning for more hours without another fully funded reserved time slot.

How many players can be accommodated?

The capacity for the Game Truck is really up to what the occupants are comfortable with. The consoles and TVs available can allow about 24. However, some games limit the amount of players on a single TV. We have a limit of 24 for private parties, and parties with 25+ players will be billed at the corporate rate of $500 for a minimum 3 hours with any extra hours billed at $100 per hour.

The screens in the Gameboxes aren't really suitable for 4-player split-screen, and might even be a little small for some more detailed 2-player split-screen games. Only 1 player per console is advised, but the amount of players should not exceed 2 per console. The handheld Switch generally follows the same constraints.

What kind of comfort amenities does the game truck have?

The game truck is equipped with an RV-style roof-mounted HVAC system that keeps the inside comfortable even in the hot and cold of North County. We also use circular fans and space heaters for the most extreme temperatures.

We open and close the two doors to manipulate air flow and temperature in the mild temperatures.

What if there is rain forecasted during my party?

The interior of the Game Truck is designed to withstand the elements, so water is no problem! With 4 walls and a small personnel door, the Game Truck can operate in the worst this area can offer with little to no difference. Our Game Instructor may take a little more time to setup to protect the generator for the duration of the party, but nothing can stop the party!

If forecasted rain interrupts any private party plans outside the Game Truck, the Gameboxes are a good opportunity to keep the whole video game party inside the home for a rainy day solution.

What games can be played?

The games listed in Available Games are available to play at any time. As we build our library, some games may not yet be available. We appreciate your patience as we try to give you the best video gaming experience. We will be happy to allow any games or consoles you bring that we do not offer.

What age range can play on your consoles?

Games are rated E, E10+, T, or M based on suggested appropriate age. The client may choose to disallow certain games for their event. Please visit the Available Games page for more details. The Game Instructor does all the disc changing and would be happy to follow house rules.
